Doberman Rescue Alliance of Wisconsin, Inc.

Welcome - thank you for visiting our website and your interest in helping a Dobe in need!!

Our volunteers have extensive rescue experience working with the Doberman Pinscher breed, and although our rescue is small, we have assisted with the successful placement of hundreds of Dobes, and have come together to strengthen the rescue network.  Our foster homes are comprised of experienced and loving volunteers.  All potential adopters are fully evaluated, including home visit and background check.  We follow up with each adopter, and require that in the event an adopter can no longer care for the dog, it be returned to DRAW so we can ensure each dog’s safety and happiness throughout their life.

Our non-profit organization is run by dedicated volunteers that give many hours to Doberman Rescue in addition to their own work and family duties, while we do not have a brick and mortar facility, we do have volunteers located throughout the state. The best reward is knowing they helped a Dobe in need find a loving home. Please have patience with these hard-working, caring individuals as they do their best to work with you as quickly as possible. It will be worth the wait!

Board of Directors:

Founder and former BOD  Jennifer and rescue Grayce - it started with Jen, our founding director since our 2011 inception, until she stepped down in 2016.  She continues in our rescue as a volunteer and consultant.

She also founded Rescued Dog https://rescueddog.com/   supporting Doberman rescues and special needs Dobies.  Without Jen this rescue would not have been possible and we are so thrilled she has remained a part of our special group.

Alex and rescue Wyatt - Alex handles state records, transports and home visits.  Alex is a USMC Veteran having served three tours to Iraq.  Growing up on a farm, he was around many animals that he loved and took care of including dogs.  He would go out of his way to help any animal in need.  He works as field technician supervisor for a fire alarm company when he's not volunteering his time for our rescue.  In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, playing with his two rescued Dobermans, boating, spending time at his cabin and collecting and selling baseball cards.  He has been a volunteer since 2014 and a board director since 2016 and is married to our treasurer, Amy.

Amy and rescue Greta - Amy is our Treasurer and handles adoption, surrender and transport co-ordinations along  with website and social media maintenance, as well as fundraisers.   Sort of similar to Alex....Amy, however did not grow up on a farm but spent a lot of time on her aunt and uncle's dairy farm.  Being around animals all her life made her realize she wanted to become a vet.  When certain life events got in the way,  she became an accounting manager instead for a catering and hospitality group.  When not devoting her time to rescue, you will find her crunching numbers at her full time job.  She enjoys spending time with her two rescues, being at her cabin, spending time outdoors and working in her gardens and interior decorating.  She has been a volunteer since 2014 and a board director since 2016 and is married to Alex, our records guy.

Mary and rescue Azar - Mary is our main foster home, as well as foster mom, she also handles transports and fundraisers.  When Mary is not spending her time with all the dogs she fosters, she works as an RN.  She loves spending time with her family and friends.  She has a heart of gold and will do anything to save an animal.  She's been nicknamed "Saint Mary" by all that know and love her within our rescue.  Mary has been a volunteer and foster since the rescue's inception in 2011 and a board director since 2016.  She is also a board director at the Neenah Animal Shelter and has had over thirty years experience with Dobermans.

And our group of ten volunteers that work tirelessly to help us day in and day out!
